American Reality Today (A.R.T.) is an independent, nonpartisan platform created to help rebuild trust in truth and democracy. Its purpose is and invite Americans from all walks of life to look at what’s happening in our country and contribute what they see, what they know, and what they believe can be done better. 

It features four sections:

• Voices – podcasts, letters and essays from across the vast spectrum of political and cultural life in America. Modeled on the typical “Letters to the Editor” format & criteria, ordinary Americans have a new place to speak with civility and conviction rather than social media outrage. 
• Scenes – photos and videos capturing real life across America contributed by first hand observers.
• Headlines – front pages from newspapers around the country offering a snapshot of what different communities see.
• Resources – reliable research, reference materials, and data.

It is organized as a traditional C corporation to provide stability and transparency and preserve independence from political, donor, or governmental influence. With only very modest funding by its founders, it may eventually support itself through memberships or other transparent programs, but profit is not the motive.

We anticipate making adjustments and corrections and will welcome feedback. But when facts are twisted beyond recognition, as they increasingly are today, the simple act of seeking truth becomes an act of faith in the democratic experiment itself.

When future generations look back on this moment and ask what we were doing during this critical time, we hope your participation and contributions will stand as part of the answer.
