Letter to the Editor
The library printed my job application

To the Editor,
I was between phones when I needed to apply for a city maintenance job. The Pima County Public Library let me use a computer, print ten pages free, and sit in air conditioning while I fixed my résumé formatting.
The librarian, David, did not rush me when the session timed out. He reset it twice. I got the job. I still stop in to say hello on Thursdays.
Libraries are not nostalgia. They are workforce infrastructure. Fund them like it.
